Alphabet

Xeo-Voice is a freeware program and server for the speech synthesis, the reciting a poetry and the vocalizing a music with the function of the recording a sound to the file. Various languages are supported.

To input the text through the keyboard, the program Xeo-Voice 1.x uses two standard layots: english and english-russian. On the base of UTF-8 table the special alphabet was created for various languages.

The alphabet 2013 contains the symbols which are necessary for the correct recording, the reading and the pronunciating of the texts in various languages. 6 encodings are supported.

The encoding cyr-2013 is completely based on the cyrillic alphabet, the encoding lat-2013 - on the latin alphabet. In the encoding eng-rus-2013 (english-russian layot), instead of the cyrillic symbols, which are not present in the russian alphabet, the letters from the english alphabet are taken. In the encoding eng-2013 (english layot) all symbols are replaced by the english letters and their combinations. The encoding arab-2013 is based on the arabic alphabet, the encoding brai-2013 is based on 8-bit Braille code.

All encodings 2013 are completely convertible among themselves. It is possible to enter the symbols in english or english-russian layot and then to encode the text into cyrillic, latin, braille or arabic alphabet, and on the contrary. It is needed to appreciate that the case of the letters is lost while encoding into the arabic alphabet.

In the encoding brai-2013, instead of the special symbols, the letters are used:

The notes:
1) In the encoding eng-rus-2013 the upper-case leter H (h) is occupied with the cyrillic Н (н), therefore, instead of the latin H, the letter Y was taken.
2) In the encoding eng-2013 the vowels A' a', O' o', U' u', I' i', Y' y', E' e' are possible to be written as Ah ah, Oh oh, Uh uh, Ih ih, Yh yh, Eh eh accordingly. The such writing is used before a vowels and in the words with the specified stresses.
3) In the encoding lat-2013 it is allowed to write ı instead of ǐ, but it is prohibited to write I instead of Ǐ.
4) In the encoding lat-2013 it is allowed to write ħ instead of ȟ.

In the alphabet 2013 the soft sign is used in the encodings eng-2013 and eng-rus-2013 to write the words with palatalisation (softness). Instead of е/ê/ٶ/⡘ it is written the digraph 'e (ье), instead of ё/ô/ۊ/⡊ - 'o (ьо), instead of и/î/إ/⣌ - 'i (ьи), instead of ю/û/ٷ/⣨ - 'u (ьу), instead of я/â/ٵ/⡬ - 'a (ьа), instead of ӭ/ŷ/ۑ/⢬ - 'y' (ьi). The remark: In the encodings cyr-2013, lat-2013 and arab-2013 the automatic replacing of combination of letters 'e (ьě) on е/ê/ٶ/⡘, 'o (ьо) on ё/ô/ۊ/⡊, 'i (ьӥ) on и/î/إ/⣌, 'u (ьу) on ю/û/ٷ/⣨, 'a (ьа) on я/â/ٵ/⡬, 'y' (ьi) on ӭ/ŷ/ۑ/⢬ is supported. These symbols are the digraphs, are absent in the encodings eng-2013 and eng-rus-2013, are executed exclusively a decorative function, are not considered as the independent letters, are used only for palatalisation (softness), not for yotisation.

Since the version 1.9, the program Xeo-Voice 1.x supports the vocalizing a music. VOCAL TEXT can be located separately, or together with the speech monologue. Example:

EXPLANATIONS:

DATA-FORMAT: Xeo-Voice 1.9
The used data format. It defines the supported settings and the structure of VOCAL TEXT block.
LYRICS-ENCODING: lat-2013
The lyrics writing code. The encodings cyr-2013, eng-rus-2013, lat-2013, eng-2013, arab-2013 and brai-2013 are supported. The most accessible encodings are eng-2013 and eng-rus-2013.
BIT-PER-MINUTE: 120
Bit count per one minute. It is equal to the tact count per one minute. Allowed values - from 40 (very slow) up to 208 (very fast) inclusive.
SYLLABLE-PER-TACT: 2
The count of the syllables of words per one tact. Allowed values - 1..16 inclusive. Usually 2. The merging the syllables to the one is supported.

LYRICS block consists the lyrics (the words) which are written in the encoding LYRICS-ENCODING (see above). The commenting a rows by the symbol "#" (grating) from the left is allowed, the empty rows are permited.

MUSIC block includes the literal tones according to this notation: C, C#, D, Eb, E, F, F#, G, Ab, A, Bb, B. Instead of Bb and B, it is allowed to write Hb and H respectively.
To increase the tone of a note to one octave, add the digit "2" from the right, for example: C2, C#2, Eb2. To decrease - the digit "0", for example: C0, C#0, Eb0.
To increase the duration of a note, add digits "0..9" from the left, for example: 2C, 4C#, 3Eb, 4C2, 3C#0, 4Eb2, 0C. The duration, which is equal to zero, matches to ten.
To omit the note (to make a silence), use the symbol "." (dot). The notes are delimited by the symbol "," (comma) or " " (space).

The vocalizing a music can be used to create an acapellas and then mix them on the instrumental tracks while arranging.

4 speech style are supported: russian, english, french and arabic. In english style the alveolar [r] is automatically changed on the approximant [ɹ], the alveolar [l] is changed on the velar [ʟ], the dental [t], [d] and [n] are changed on the alveolar [t], [d] and [n] accordingly. In french style [r] is changed on the uvular [ʀ], in arabic style [ɰ] is changed on the glottal [ʕ].

Since the version 1.19, the program Xeo-Voice 1.x can work in the simple WEB-server mode. To turn it on, run the file "xeo-voice.exe", check "Act as server" on and then, perhaps, allow the access in the Windows firewall. In this mode the program accepts HTTP-requests from the remote WEB-clients and automatically pronounce the speech or vocal texts. You can set a password to autenticate on the server, in order to ignore the commands from the unknown applications. The server mode can be used to notify soundly about some complex different events, containing, for example, a titles or a geographical names, in the real time.

To send a command to the Xeo-Voice server, open the file "send.html", which is located in the program folder, by the WEB-browser, select the syntesied language, the encoding, type the text and press the "Send the command" button. The process of transmiting a commands might be automatizated by the other applications. Also you can tune the autorun of the file "xeo-voice.exe" when Windows starts.
